Soo...in our efforts to "take in" as much of Boston and the surrounding New England region...Peter and I, okay, actually just me, decided to check out the town of Grafton, VT. I bought some Hautelook travel deal package to one of the "quaintest and most famous" B&Bs in Grafton, VT. The town of Grafton was described as "picturesque" and a "definite must see" on everyone's sightseeing of America lists...so how could we not go and check it out, right?
Anyhoos, we should have known this trip was jinxed from the start. A terrible tornado had just swept the state of Vermont and destroyed many homes and roads...including this one, that we needed to take to get to the Grafton Bed & Breakfast. So instead, we had to take a detour route on these rocky, muddy back roads, adding an extra 30-45 minutes to our already quite long 3+ hour drive.
Once we arrived in Grafton, VT, we realized that when people said it was "quaint" they really meant a town with 2 streets and not much else besides a "town hall," which is this dinky place behind me, The Old Tavern at Grafton B&B (now named Grafton Inn, as of 2012), a few homes and a small restaurant...
Me--Red Valentino Grey tee with oversized blue bow, Red Ruffle Shorts
Oh, forgot, there's another attraction, the Grafton Village Cheese Company...sadly, this was closed while we were there :(
Me--Red Valentino Grey tee with oversized blue bow, Red Ruffle Shorts, Salvatore Ferragamo White Patent Leather with Black Bow Trim Varina flats, Cartier Love Bracelets in WG and YG...oh and there's Bow Wow too, looking up at me thinking "why are we here?"
Well, totally valid question Bow Wow, which is why after 15 minutes of seeing the whole town of Grafton, Peter and I hopped back into Booey and drove back to Boston...yes, basically I drove 3+ hours to Grafton, then back 3+ hours to Boston...
And this was just a small part of the tremendous damage that the tornado left behind in the State of Vermont...so scary!
Thanks Philip!! Red Valentino is so awesome...just as whimsical and cute at a fraction of the cost hehe...super awesome for the light weight casual pieces like tees and cardigans :)
